nathalie lomas grew up Exmouth, Devon where she was always deeply inspired by the ancient woodland and Coastline that surrounded her.
Always being driven by Art, Nathalie went on after College in 1993 to refurbish and run an Art Shop/ Gallery called ‘Clanger’ The name was inspired from the glass and silver mobiles she was making at the time. One enormous mobile would be hanging outside gently clanging together when the shop was open to attract the public.
Local Artists had the opportunity to sell their pieces and Nathalie had a constant outlet for her work.
In 1997 Nathalie settled down to have a family and continued to work from home selling her work at Art fairs, and in local galleries.
The motivation continued, and in 2002 Nathalie received an unconditional place to study a degree in Interior and Furniture Design in Exeter.
This was a pinnacle moment in her life as she was opened up to a different way of thinking, and different, inspiring materials to work with.
She was awarded with her Batchelor of Arts with Honors degree in 2005.
Since University Nathalie continued her work, mainly concentrating on her contemporary paintings, photography focusing on close up details of natural and man made objects. and fine Silver Jewellery
With her unique and unmistakeable style, Nathalie’s work has attracted commissions nationally and internationally over the last seventeen years.
Her works have been exhibited in Devon, Somerset and Hampshire.
